10 Ways you can help IWU and show your Titan Pride!
1. Connect with IWU alumni in your hometown.
Ever wonder if there are other IWU alumni in your town? Why not find out?! We have regional alumni chapters in these cities
but there are IWU alumni in all 50 states and over 30 countries. You can search for alumni in your area by performing an advanced search
(you will be directed to log in first) within our alumni database. You must be logged in to use the database; contact the Alumni Office if you have difficulty logging in.
2. Keep in touch.
When you move, change jobs, complete another degree, get married, or have a child, make sure to update your profile
. (You will be directed to log in first.) That way we'll be able to keep you informed of alumni events in your area and help you stay connected to your classmates.
3. Stay informed.
IWU is constantly in pursuit of excellence. Keep up-to-date with what's going on at Illinois Wesleyan by checking our events calendar on TitanPride.org
, reading the Illinois Wesleyan Magazine
, and reading Campus Weekly
4. Turn an Away game into a Home game.
If you can't make it back to campus to cheer on the Titans, don't worry! Varsity Titan teams compete around the country, so get the gang together to "join in a cheer" and give the Titans some support on the road.
5. Improve the value of your IWU degree and support current students.
You made an investment in yourself when you chose to attend Illinois Wesleyan University, and it's important to protect that investment. College rankings consider the percentage of alumni who donate annually as a sign of alumni satisfaction. Gifts of any size to the Wesleyan Fund signal your support of IWU and can impact IWU's national reputation. And every dollar of your Wesleyan Fund gift--unless otherwise designated by you--is directed to support students and keep an IWU education attainable for anyone qualified for admission.
6. Show your Titan Pride!
Wearing Illinois Wesleyan apparel is an easy way to show your support of your alma mater. Name recognition is always a challenge for a small liberal arts school like IWU but you can help by promoting IWU and looking stylish at the same time! If green isn't your best color, consider showing your support by putting a license plate frame on your car or an IWU clock on your desk. Browse IWU gear.
7. Hire a Titan.
As you know, Illinois Wesleyan turns out some outstanding alumni. If you know of a position that's opening at your place of work, consider hiring a Titan. Contact Warren Kistner, Director of Career Services by calling 309-556-3237 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
8. Get Social.
Are you on LinkedIn, Facebook, or Twitter? So are we! Join
the Illinois Wesleyan Alumni Group on LinkedIn, "Like
" the Illinois Wesleyan Facebook Page, and "Follow
" the Alumni Office on Twitter.
9. Volunteer within the Alumni Association.
There are many ways that you can get involved with the Illinois Wesleyan Alumni Association but we want to find a position that fits you. Maybe you'd like to host a regional alumni event, organize a class reunion, serve as a regional contact person, email admitted students, or mentor a current student. You will find many opportunities for involvement under the "Get Involved" tab, but you can always contact us directly by calling 888-IWU-ALUM or emailing email@example.com
10. Come home...and bring friends!
Reminisce about your beloved college years at IWU with your classmates at Homecoming this fall.
